The Arkansas Razorback softball team achieved a milestone this week, earning the No. 2 spot in the latest Softball America Top 25 Poll—the highest ranking in program history.
The move up the rankings follows a standout weekend in College Station, where the Hogs took two of three games from No. 1/2 Texas A&M, securing a 7-5 win Friday and a 7-4 win Saturday. It marked Arkansas’s fifth straight SEC series victory and the program’s fourth series win this season over a Top 10 opponent.
With the weekend sweep, Arkansas also became just the third Southeastern Conference team in the last two decades to win multiple series against teams ranked in the Top 2. Tennessee (2025) and LSU (2007) are the only other SEC teams to accomplish that feat.
Prior to this week, the Razorbacks’ highest in-season ranking came in the opening week of 2023, when they were ranked No. 4 in both the NFCA and ESPN/USA Top 25 polls.
The Hogs will close out the regular season at home this weekend with a three-game series against LSU at Bogle Park. Games are scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with a 1 p.m. start Saturday. All games will stream live on SEC Network+.
