North Little Rock is looking to attract more youth soccer tournaments to the city through a new partnership with Snap Soccer, a Pensacola, Florida-based tournament management company.
The partnership between North Little Rock Tourism, Snap Soccer and Arkansas Rising Soccer Club will focus on growing and marketing youth soccer tournaments at the Burns Park Soccer Complex.
Snap Soccer manages tournaments across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Louisiana, providing tournament operations, event marketing and connections to soccer clubs and teams throughout the Southeast. North Little Rock Tourism hopes the partnership will help bring more high-profile competitions to the city while increasing the economic impact of youth sports tourism.
“SNAP Soccer has built a reputation for running tight, competitive tournaments, and that’s the piece we needed,” said Shelbey Morris, North Little Rock Tourism’s Sr. Manager of Sales & Partnership. “This partnership also gives us direct access to a network of clubs and teams we haven’t had a strong pipeline into. Pairing that reach with what Burns Park can already handle puts us in a position to compete for events we haven’t had the bandwidth to go after before.”
Burns Park Soccer Complex, located along the Arkansas River, features 17 irrigated fields, tournament lighting on one quadrant and parking for 1,500 vehicles. The complex has previously hosted local, regional and national tournaments and is recognized as a major soccer venue in the South.
Through the partnership, North Little Rock will build on that history while tapping into Snap Soccer’s experience organizing multi-division tournaments for players ranging from U9 through U19.
