Dr. Montrose A. Streeter is the dean of students at Batesville’s Lyon College.
Streeter previously served as vice president for student affairs at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Before that, he was associate vice president of campus life and dean of students at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, and assistant dean of students at Keuka College in Keuka Park, New York.
He began his career in higher education at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee, and has also held leadership positions at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina. As dean of students, Streeter will oversee student life programs and services, including student engagement, leadership development, student conduct, residence life and initiatives that promote student success and well-being.
“Dr. Streeter is a thoughtful and experienced student affairs leader who understands the importance of supporting students throughout every stage of their college journey,” said Tommy Newton, vice president for enrollment management. “His commitment to student development, collaboration and belonging will strengthen the student experience at Lyon College, and we are excited to welcome him to our community.”
