Auto dealer Steve Landers Jr. recently announced that he has acquired Idaho-based Warfield Distillery, an award-winning distillery in Sun Valley co-founded by Alex Buck.
Dustin Curtis, vice president of Interstate Holdings, said he and Landers visited the distillery during a trip and liked it so much that they decided to bring its products to the masses. Landers, Curtis, and Brett Huskey, vice president of Interstate Holdings, will take over distribution, while Buck will continue crafting the spirits.
“We’re just excited to be able to purchase such a quality product and have such a quality individual continue to run it,” Landers said. “Alex has such a passion for whiskey and brewing, and we think this partnership is going to elevate the brand to another level.”
Curtis said the distillery plans to grow the brand and release new products across the country, including ready-to-drink canned cocktails. The distillery is also slated to undergo some significant upgrades that include automated facilities, improved tours and more.
