Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) has promoted Michelle Rupp to its chief communications and strategy officer. She previously was the company’s vice president of marketing, communications and strategic development.
“In a short amount of time, Michelle’s successful leadership in our diversification strategy made this promotion a logical next step,” Ray Hanley, President and CEO of AFMC, said in a statement. “Michelle’s leadership will be instrumental moving AFMC forward as the healthcare landscape evolves.”
Rupp joined AFMC in January 2020 in the then-newly created position of vice president of marketing, communications and strategic development.Before joining AFMC, she served as Arkansas Heart Hospital’s director of public relations and communications.
With 20 years of communications experience, Rupp has held roles at KATV Channel 7 and American Red Cross. She is also a board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas and serves as president and founding member of RMHCA’s Red Shoe Crew.
