The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a new vice chancellor for human resources.
Jeff Risinger, Ph.D., MBA, has been promoted to vice chancellor for human resources after serving as associate vice chancellor for human resources since 2014.

Risinger previously worked in the Senior Executive Service of the federal government for 11 years. He served as the chief human capital officer at the Securities Exchange Commission and the Federal Housing Finance Agency during this period. Risinger also held executive position in the private sector before beginning his government service.
Risinger received his doctorate in human resource and organizational development from the University of Texas in Tyler, Texas. In addition, he has earned master’s degrees in business administration from Texas A&M University and in industrial/organizational psychology from Louisiana Tech University.
