Southwest Airlines is adding a new nonstop route at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.
The airline will add a route linking Little Rock and Atlanta with nonstop service, starting Nov. 4. The new service will run through Jan. 4, 2021.
“We’re looking forward to launching this daily flight to connect our Customers to the people and places important in their lives. As we do with our entire network, we always study passenger demand to determine whether there’s an opportunity to add routes that would be beneficial for our network and Customers,” a Southwest Airlines spokesperson told Arkansas Money & Politics via e-mail.
According to Southwest Airlines’ website, the company runs seven daily flights and 19 weekly flights from Little Rock to Atlanta. This includes four flights before noon, three flights between 12- p.m., and one flight after 6 p.m. This is based on the scheduled flights for Monday through Friday between Aug. 20, 2020 and April 11, 2021.
Southwest is one six airlines operating at Clinton National Airport. The other five airlines include Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines and Frontier Airlines.
