Sonny Williams’ Steak Room, a longtime staple of the downtown Little Rock fine dining scene, has new owners.
Keet Restaurant Group on Monday announced a new ownership team consisting of Jim Keet and his sons Tommy and Jake, longtime Keet partner Louis Petit and local restaurateurs Ben Brainard and Brent Lenners. Former owners Ryan MacNally, Jimmy Young and Kevin Kordsmeir will remain as partners.
Sonny Williams’ Steak Room was opened in 1999 on President Clinton Avenue in the River Market District and built a reputation for classic steakhouse dining, exceptional hospitality and memorable experiences. It has been repeatedly named Best Steakhouse in Arkansas.
“Sonny Williams’ is a favorite Arkansas tradition,” Jim Keet said. “We are excited to be part of the future of this restaurant and to build upon what has made it special for so many years.”
The core menu will remain intact with premium steaks, fresh seafood and signature dishes. Over the next few months, guests can expect thoughtful renovations that bring renewed energy to the space while maintaining the character that have made the restaurant a downtown staple, Keet said, adding that the goal is to preserve what has made Sonny Williams’ special.
“This is an exciting time for Sonny Williams’,” said Brent Lenners. “There is a strong team in place, and we look forward to building on the great reputation while continuing to deliver a great experience for our guests.”
