Randy Sims

Following the retirement of Randy Sims, Centennial Bank and its parent company Home BancShares have named two executives to chairmanship roles at the companies.

Jack Engelkes will be taking on the role of vice-chairman of Home BancShares. He is also a director for the company.  Tracy French, the president and CEO of Centennial Bank, has also been named chairman of Centennial Bank.

John Allison, currently the Home BancShares chairman, will be the president and CEO of Home BancShares.

The positions are being filled in the wake of Sims’ retirement. Sims has served as Executive Chairman and President of Centennial Bank as well as President, Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Home BancShares.

“The past twenty-plus years have been the best of my life, from starting our first office in a mobile home to being named Forbes Best Bank in America,” Sims said in a statement. “However, at sixty-five years of age, it is now time for me to concentrate and spend time with my incredible wife, my five children and six grandchildren and the life adventures ahead of us.”
