The College Football Playoff (CFP) schedule will continue as planned, the CFP management committee announced on Wednesday.
Currently, the playoff semifinals are slated to be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. and at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, on Jan. 1. On Monday, Jan. 11, the national championship game will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The committee also revealed that if selected teams cannot or choose not the play on the scheduled date due to COVID-related issues, the teams will not be replaced.
The first set of College Football Playoff rankings will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
Currently, the Southeastern Conference (SEC)’s Eastern and Western Division winners are expected to play for the 2020 SEC Football Championship on Dec. 19 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
