The McMillon Innovation Studio at the University of Arkansas is launching a new program for students. Through Launch Lab, students will have the opportunity to bring their business ideas to fruition with access to resources, mentors and workshops.
Located off the Fayetteville Square, the McMillon Innovation Studio offers a range of services for student entrepreneurs, including virtual workshops, a makerspace, office hours and more. The Launch Lab is the latest program designed to provide students with access to resources to jumpstart their ideas, products or services.
Students wishing to participate in Launch Lab will apply and pitch at the McMillon Innovation Studio’s Spring Seed Funding event.
Participants will receive access to workshops that are aimed at early-stage product/service development with subjects including Lean Canvas, intellectual property and customer discovery. They will also have access to mentors and the opportunity to pitch for seed funding.
Launch Lab will also give participants the chance to be receive feedback in bi-weekly meetings. Participants will have access to the McMillon Innovation Studio as well as access to physical and digital prototyping tools.
