Alison Wish has been named as the new director for the Arkansas Coding Academy.
In this role, Wright will head up the academy’s administration and operations. In addition, she is charged with expanding its training curriculum in response to workforce demands in the information technology sector.
Wright officially began on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The Arkansas Coding Academy is part of the University of Central Arkansas’ Division of Outreach and Community Engagement. The program, established in 2016, trains students to enter the information technology and computer fields.
“We are delighted to have Alison leading the Arkansas Coding Academy. She brings a depth of experience and technical expertise that will be an invaluable asset to the program” Shaneil Ealy, associate vice president for Outreach and Community Engagement, said in a statement.
Most recently, Wish served as a senior manager of delivery for Acxiom, where she managed more than 30 technical data architects in the United States and Poland. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer and information science from Arkansas Tech University.
