Whit Davis Lumber Plus, located at 9100 Brockington Rd. in Sherwood, has announced it will permanently close the location at the end of April, marking the end of nearly 10 years of serving the local community.
The company shared the news on social media, calling the decision a difficult one.
“We’ve loved being part of your projects, homes, and lives,” the post says. “We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers, hardworking team, and the entire Sherwood community for your support over the years.”
To mark the transition, the Sherwood store is offering 25% off all merchandise through the end of the month.
Despite the closure, Whit Davis Lumber Plus continues operations at its Jacksonville, Cabot and Greenbrier locations, which the company says are “thriving.”
Whit Davis, a family-owned business known for its hardware and home improvement services, has been a staple in central Arkansas since 1953. The Sherwood store’s closure ends a chapter of community involvement that included helping with home projects, renovations and more over the past decade.
