University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana announced that Wendy Jones is this year’s staff member of the year. Jones has been with the human resources department since 2021.
“Wendy is the embodiment of this award’s purpose — demonstrating unwavering dedication, positivity and a deep commitment to the UAHT community,” according to a press release. “She consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty.”
Jones stepped in as chancellor’s assistant during a transitional period while maintaining her own duties, according to the release.
“She brings contagious energy, warmth, and kindness to every interaction,” she said. “She’s one of those people who light up the room and make others feel welcome, seen and supported. Many of us can point to Wendy as the person who made us feel at home at UAHT.”
