Washington Regional has been named Arkansas’ No. 1 hospital in U.S. News’ latest edition of Best Hospitals.
This is the sixth consecutive year the Fayetteville hospital has earned the state’s top spot on the list. U.S. News evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions, and just 16 percent of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation.
Washington Regional was designated as high performing in 13 areas of care – more than any other hospital in the state: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, colon cancer surgery, diabetes, heart arrhythmia, heart attack, heart bypass surgery, hip fracture, hip replacement, knee replacement, leukemia/lymphoma/myeloma, maternity care, pacemaker implantation and prostate cancer surgery.
