Washington Regional Medical System has added a new physician to its emergency department. John C. Frank, M.D., has joined the Northwest Arkansas healthcare system as an emergency medicine physician.
Frank will be part of Washington Regional’s Level II Trauma Center. According to the American Trauma Society, a Level II Trauma Center is able to initiate “definitive care for all patients.” These centers provide 24-hour immediate coverage by surgeons as well as coverage by specialists, such as orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, radiology and critical care.
Previously, Frank served at Our Lady of the Sea Hospital in Cutoff, La. as an emergency medicine physician.
He obtained his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed an emergency medicine residency at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
