Warren Stephens was honored today by Economics Arkansas at the organization’s annual Leadership in Free Enterprise (LIFE) Award luncheon.
According to Economics Arkansas, the LIFE Award is designed to honor individuals who “promote success in the free market.” Stephens, the chairman, president and CEO of Stephens Inc., received the LIFE Award for his “contributions to free enterprise” as the head of Stephens Inc. and for implementing the This is Capitalism multimedia campaign.
Economics Arkansas Executive Director Kathleen Lawson praised Stephens for being an exemplar of a free enterprise leader. “Warren Stephens has elevated Stephens Inc. to a well-recognized, much-respected international financial services firm and truly exemplifies the characteristics of a leader for free enterprise. I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Mr. Stephens for allowing us to recognize him today,” she said.
In accepting the award, Stephens said, “I thank Economics Arkansas for the incredible work they do throughout the state. I can’t wait until these students get to be leaders in our country, state and in their communities. I am extremely invigorated and believe that the opportunities are endless for free enterprise.”
