Walmart officially acquires Jet.com

Wal-Mart Stores Inc said it has completed the $3 billion acquisition of internet retailer Jet.com. The deal will give Wal-Mart access to Jet.com’s pricing software and will help the Arkansas-based retailer to better compete with online rivals. The deal follows a five-year e-commerce acquisition plan in which Wal-Mart has bought 15 startups.
