Walmart has appointed Deborah Vaughn as general counsel for the retailer’s international business.
Vaughn currently serves as the vice president and chief legal counsel for Kimberly-Clark’s Asia-Pacific business region. Starting Nov. 2, she will be the senior vice president and general counsel for Walmart International.
She will report to Walmart general counsel Karen Roberts. Currently, Vaughn is based in Singapore but will be moving to Bentonville to serve in her new role. She will succeed Samuel Reeves in the in-house counsel position.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Vaughn has served as the vice president and chief legal counsel for Kimberly-Clark’s Asia-Pacific territory since May 2018. Previously, she was the chief legal officer for Whirlpool’s Asia Pacific region for approximately four years and had served in various other roles for the company starting in 2007.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the National University of Singapore, a certificate in journalism from Auckland University of Technology, a bachelor’s of law from University of Hertfordshire, and a master’s of law from the George Washington University Law School.
