Former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe is coming to Little Rock this Thursday on his book tour. McAuliffe is touring in support of his new book Beyond Charlottesville: Taking a Stand Against White Nationalism.
A Democrat, McAuliffe served as Governor of Virginia from 2014-2018. Previously he served as the Democratic National Committee chairman and as the chair for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign.
During the talk entitled “Bridge Builders: An Inspiring Conversation with Governor Terry McAuliffe,” he will discuss his book which centers around the August 2018 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia that resulted in three deaths – that of a bystander, Heather Heyer, and a helicopter pilot and passenger – as well as injuries to dozens more.
The talk will be held Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6 p.m., at the Clinton Presidential Center. A book signing will follow the conversation.
Books will be available for purchase at the event.
The event is free and open to the public. However, registration is required.
