ARCO Construction officially broke ground last month on VIA, a mixed-use development set to bring more than 150 residential units and 11,600 square feet of retail space to downtown Springdale. The project, developed by Bentonville-based Blue Crane and designed by BUF Studio and Modus Studio, aims to enhance the city’s growing urban core.
“At ARCO, we’re proud to bring our construction expertise to this landmark project,” said ARCO Construction President Hank Bellina. “VIA represents the kind of thoughtful development that strengthens communities, and we’re committed to delivering exceptional quality for downtown Springdale.”
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together key community leaders, including Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse, Downtown Springdale Alliance Executive Director Paxton Roberts and Blue Crane Development Partner Farris DeBoard.
“VIA will create new opportunities for local businesses and residents alike,” DeBoard said. “We selected ARCO Construction for their track record of excellence and their understanding of how transformative projects like this can enhance community life.”
The 2.5-acre development will feature four multistory buildings totaling approximately 160,000 square feet. This includes 111,000 square feet of residential space, 36,000 square feet of community space and 11,600 square feet designated for retail.
“Downtown Springdale continues to evolve as a vibrant destination for residents and businesses,” Roberts said. “VIA adds significant momentum to our revitalization efforts.”
Construction is underway, with completion expected in late 2026. The project will open in phases, welcoming its first residents and retailers throughout the year.
