The cohort for the third annual Veteran-Owned Small Business Accelerator, presented by The Venture Center in partnership with Arkansas Small Business Administration, was announced Wednesday in a launch ceremony at The Venture Center’s office in Little Rock.
The program provides tailored resources to help the chosen Arkansas-based veteran and veteran-spouse-founded businesses grow and succeed.
“It is an honor to support this new class of veteran-owner businesses,” said Daniel Schutte, vice president of strategic partnerships at the Venture Center. “Our third cohort highlights a beautiful mix of northwest Arkansas local talent and statewide reach. These founders embody the very best of the veteran spirit and we are excited to help them grow their vision right here at home.”
Among the 13 businesses in this group are health companies, technology companies, a security company and even a charcuterie board company.
“The SBA Arkansas District Office is committed to helping veterans start, grow and excel their business,” said Jerry Talbert, deputy district director of the SBA Arkansas District Office. “This accelerator strengthens veteran entrepreneurship by expanding access to capital, driving job growth and retaining many critical skills in our local communities.”
