Del Frisco’s Grille, part of a chain devoted to “upscale casual” dining, is advertising for a general manager and executive chef for a location “opening soon in Little Rock.
One of three chains operated by Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group (Nasdaq: DFRG) of Southland, Texas, Del Frisco’s Grille positions itself as a “modern twist” on the traditional bar and grill, according to the company’s website. High-end steaks and fancy cocktails? Definitely. Flat-screen TVs with sports? Not likely.
According to a Nov. 5 news release, there are 15 Del Frisco’s Grilles in the country, along with 11 Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouses and 19 Sullivan’s Steakhouses. The brands position themselves as what might be described as an “upscale casual” dining option, oriented toward businesspeople and others who want fine dining without going fully formal. In Little Rock, that would seem to put them in the same segment as the recently renovated One Eleven at the Capital and the Capital Bar and Grill in the Capital Hotel, Natchez Restaurant, and Brave New Restaurant.
Where exactly the restaurant will be located and when they plan to open isn’t yet known, though the executive chef ad stipulates the ability to manage and train a kitchen staff of 25. A spokesperson for the restaurant group did not respond to messages by late Tuesday morning.
