UCA, Conductor Hosting IdeaFame Pitch Competition in October

Aspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their best ideas for the chance to win cash prizes. The Conductor and the University of Central Arkansas are joining forces to host an IdeaFame Pitch Competition during UCA’s Homecoming Week.

Contestants will have up to 60 seconds to impress a panel of judges and the audience with their ideas. Each contestant is limited to one pitch and notes or slides are not allowed.

Two winners will be chosen during the competition – one by the panel of judges and the other by the audience. Each winner will received a $1,000 cash prizes sponsored by Conductor.

While the competition is geared toward students, it is open to “students, innovators, entrepreneurs, dreamers, inventors and creatives” who have a big idea that needs some help to get started.

“We want to inspire the next generations of creatives, makers, and innovators.” said Grace Rains, Director of Operations, “Pitch competitions like IdeaFame Live allow us to provide a platform to students to think outside the box, present their ideas, and then provide cash prizes to go towards funding those ideas. It is a fantastic process to watch.”

The pitch competition will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, starting at 2 p.m., at the McCastlain Fireplace Room on the UCA campus. Doors will open at 1:40 p.m.

The deadline to register for the competition is Wednesday, Oct. 23, at noon. To register, click here.
