Two faculty members have been added to the University of Central Arkansas’ accounting department.
The Department of Accounting has appointed Mengyu Ma, Ph.D., and Qifeng Wu, Ph.D. as assistant professors of accounting.
Most recently, Ma served as an instructor of accounting at Florida International University. She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in accounting from the Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University and a doctorate in business administration from Florida International University.
Ma researches a range of topics, including financial reporting quality, information environment, equity markets, debt contracting and financial analysts.
Before joining UCA, Wu served as an assistant instructor at the University of Texas at El Paso. His research interests include financial reporting quality, corporate governance and auditing.
Wu obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Idaho State University, a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Idaho and a doctorate in accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso.
