Tyson Foods Inc.’s chief account officer is leaving the Springdale-headquartered poultry company.
In a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing filed Wednesday, Feb. 19, Tyson Foods reported that Stephen L. Gibbs would be resigning from the company, effective Feb. 21. Gibbs notified Tyson on his intent to leave on Feb. 13.
A SEC filing for Gibbs’ departure was necessary because of his status as a senior vice president and company officer.
Gibb’s departure is “not the result of any disagreement with the Company regarding its operations, policies or practices,” according to the filing. Gibbs reportedly is accepting employment with another company.
He joined Tyson as its chief accounting officer in December 2018 and had previously serving in the same role for Keurig Green Mountain for approximately six years – from August 2011 to June 2017.
Gibbs previously held roles at Scientific Games as its chief accounting officer and corporate controller, at The Coca-Cola Company as an accounting research manager, and held positions at Arthur Andersen LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Tyson Foods has yet to announce a replacement for the chief accounting officer position.
