Two members of the Little Rock Port Authority Board of Directors have been reappointed, and one new member has been added.
Vice Chair Tamika Edwards and Treasurer Keith Harvey were reappointed by Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr., who also appointed Chad Causey to the board. Board members, who serve five-year terms, oversee the Port Authority’s work to increase economic development in Little Rock.
Edwards and Harvey will each begin their term and continue in their current roles, respectively. Causey succeeds Robert “Bobby” S. Brown, who served for 10 years.
“We are incredibly grateful to Bobby for the leadership and commitment he has brought to the Port Authority over the past decade,” said Bryan Day, executive director of the Little Rock Port Authority. “Bobby and his family have a long history of supporting the development of the Port and recognizing its importance to Little Rock’s economic future. His service on this board continues that legacy, and the Port is stronger today because of his contributions.”
Causey is the principal of Rose Group Advisors and a member of Rose Law Firm in Little Rock. He also serves as executive director of the Arkansas Aerospace and Defense Alliance, a trade association representing Arkansas’ aerospace and defense industries.
He previously served in Washington, D.C., as chief of staff to a member of Congress and as a liaison to the U.S. House Appropriations Committee.
Brown, president and CEO of Interstate SignWays in Little Rock, was first appointed to the Little Rock Port Authority Board of Directors in 2016. He held several leadership positions on the board, including chair, vice chair and treasurer.
