On Thursday, Feb. 27, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton announced his campaign for reelection to the U.S. Senate in 2026.
In a post on Twitter/X, Cotton said that it’s been an honor to serve Arkansas and that he will help continue to fight to “secure our border, lower prices, keep America safe, and reverse the damage the Democrats did to our country.”
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has officially endorsed Cotton, saying he is a patriot whose main priority is both Arkansas and the country.
“He is a strong ally of President Trump’s, and we need him representing us in the United States Senate,” she added.
In a repost of his original statement, he added more commentary.
I’m grateful to launch my campaign with the support of every Arkansas statewide official, the entire Arkansas congressional delegation, and 108 out of 110 of Arkansas’s Republican State Senators. Thank you for your support! More endorsements to come.
If Cotton’s reelection campaign is successful, it will be his third term in the U.S. Senate.
