Time Bicycles, a high-end European brand, has made Little Rock its U.S. headquarters, according to recent Axios report.
Time CEO Tony Karklins said Little Rock will be home to the company’s North American warehouse and assembly facility. Karklins previously brought Spanish bike manufacturer Orbea to Little Rock, and is the founder of Allied Cycleworks, now based in Rogers.
The global bike market was estimated at $60 billion in 2021 and is expected to hit an annual growth rate of 8 percent through 2030.
Karklins told Axios that Time isn’t looking to flood the U.S. market.
“We’re for a pretty discriminating customer that knows what he wants,” he said. “We appeal to people that want something that is for sure made in Europe.”
Time’s bikes range in cost from $5,500 to $11,000.
