Carelink’s annual cupcake festival, benefiting the Central Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, returns Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Heifer International Village in Little Rock. Tickets for the Candyland-themed Cupcakes for Goodness Sake start at $5 for people 55+ and kids under 12, and $12 for adults. Advance tickets are available by visiting the official event page at CareLink.org/Cupcakes.
Featuring some of the top bakers in the state, guests will vote for their favorite cupcake, while a panel of judges will vote on Most Creative and Best Cupcake. The panel includes David Bazzel (103.7 The Buzz), Sarah Fortner (former THV11 meteorologist), Kim Meyer-Webb (Inviting Arkansas) and Maddie Wallace (SAVVY Kids). Roger Scott (103.7 The Buzz, Antiquities) will emcee as the Master of Cupcakes.
“It’s hard to imagine that the time for Cupcakes is finally here, but we couldn’t be more excited. However, we must be mindful of the COVID endemic and require things that will help reduce the spread like wearing masks while inside the pavilion,” said Meredith Hale, director of development for Carelink. “We are looking forward to coming together with the community to raise awareness about the vital services helping older people in Central Arkansas age safely and independently in their homes. The support of events like Cupcakes for Goodness Sake helps us further our mission of serving older men and women in need.”
Vendors include Buff City Soap, Enova Cosmetics, Kendra Scott and Feelinthropic. If you want some lunch to go with your dessert, local food trucks The Crepe Coop, Yelmers Southern Barbecue and Brunch Brothers will be serving up delicious food, as well.
Space is limited, but CareLink is still accepting applications for bakers and vendors, along with sponsorships. For more information about getting involved in Cupcakes for Goodness Sake, call CareLink’s Development Department at 501-372-5300, toll free at 800-482-6359 or visit CareLink.org.
Please note: In response to the coronavirus pandemic, attendees will have to wear masks while inside the pavilion unless actively eating or drinking.
