The Capital Hotel, along with the Capital Bar & Grill, will be reopening later in May.
The Little Rock institution announced that it would be reopening on Monday, May 17.
Closed down since late March in 2020, there have been increased rumblings that the Capital Hotel would be reopening soon. Arkansas Money & Politics reported in early April that the hotel had multiple job postings for a range of management and non-management roles within the hotel and its restaurants.
The hotel posted the reopening information on its website, noting that it would abide by the “highest level of COVID-19 protocols in accordance with CDC, state and local guidelines.”
The Capital Hotel did not announce the return of One Eleven. In February 2020, AMP reported that the hotel was planning renovations following the departure of executive chef Joel Antunes’ departure.
AMP will continue to follow this story.
