One of Arkansas’ best known hotels appears to be moving toward a reopening.
The Capital Hotel in Little Rock has been closed for more than one year, closing in late March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. But new job postings and news tips have indicated that the hotel could be reopening soon.
On the Capital Hotel’s website, there are 15 non-management jobs and six management positions currently open. The non-management roles range from banquet servers to cooks to dishwasher to housekeepers to desk clerks. The management roles include an accounting manager, an executive chef, a general manager, a restaurant manager, a sales coordinator, and a sales manager.
These positions have also been cross-posted on other job websites, including LinkedIn and Salary.com.
Arkansas Money & Politics has received tips that the Capital Hotel could be opening up but has not confirmed this. We have reached out to the Capital Hotel for comment but have not received any answer. We will update the story when more information becomes available.
Before the pandemic upended the economy, the Capital Hotel had shifted its restaurant operations at One Eleven at the Capital Hotel. Executive chef Joel Antunes left the restaurant, and the restaurant moved to a breakfast-only schedule.
