Shayla Copas Interiors has named a new director of marketing and public relations to oversee the company’s strategic marketing initiatives. Malina Tabor will be taking on the role at the design firm.
Tabor will be merging her background in marketing and editorial work in her new role. She previously served as the director of marketing for Delta Trust before joining the marketing team at Simmons Bank and at ClearPointe. She later became a freelance marketer as well as an editorial and personal stylist.
According to founder and principal interior designer Shayla Copas, adding Tabor to the team is part of the firm’s efforts at continued growth.
“The company has seen tremendous growth in the past three years with a 56 percent increase in sales and expanding our team is pivotal for continued success,” Copas said in a statement. “Malina’s vast experience and obvious talents made her the perfect fit.”
One of the projects Copas has on the horizon is a new e-commerce platform scheduled to launch in fall 2020. This platform will be designed to feature top interior design products, including textiles, art, furniture and home accessories.
“I feel fortunate to have a solid team in place as we continue to create and evolve. This is an exciting time for the brand,” Copas said.
