For the second year, Northwest Arkansas-based Startup Junkie has been chosen as a regional partner for the Startup World Cup.
The Startup World Cup, organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, is a global conference and competition that brings together top startups, VCs, entrepreneurs and world-class speakers. It allows entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of experts, all for a chance to participate in the Grand Finale for a prize of $1 million. The goal is to bridge startup ecosystems worldwide.
Both of the events–one in South Korea and one in Northwest Arkansas–will take place this summer and will involve entrepreneurs from both areas.
“We’re grateful for the chance to continue collaborating with Pegasus Tech Ventures and the opportunity to bring this event to our community for another year,” said Caleb Talley, executive director of the Startup Junkie Foundation. “I think it’s a testament to Northwest Arkansas’ continued emergence as a legitimate hub of activity within the global startup ecosystem, and I know there are ventures here that are more than capable of advancing and winning the whole thing.”
This is Startup Junkie’s first time leveraging its international reach by hosting a regional qualifying event in Seoul, South Korea, which will take place in early summer 2025. The Northwest Arkansas qualifier will be held later in the summer. Exact dates, applications and additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
