Sandy Starnes has joined First Community Bank as senior vice president, director of branch development, the bank announced.
In this role, Starnes will work closely with executive leadership to support the bank’s branch expansion strategy and lead key initiatives related to branch development across its growing footprint, according to a press release.
Starnes brings 18 years of experience in the financial services industry and a strong background in community banking. She is actively involved in industry and community organizations, serving on advisory boards for the American Bankers Association Professional Development Council and BankOn Arkansas. She is also a longtime advocate for the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, with a focus on economic development and education.
“Community banking is what I know and love, which makes joining First Community Bank and supporting its branch expansion incredibly exciting,” said Starnes. “I’m honored to work alongside a team that cares so deeply about the people and places we serve and to help bring that impact to more communities across the state.”
Michelle Reesor, executive vice president and chief risk officer, said Starnes’s experience and leadership will play an important role in the bank’s continued growth.
“Sandy brings a deep understanding of community banking and a thoughtful, strategic approach to branch development,” said Reesor. “Her experience and passion for serving others make her a great addition to our team as we continue to expand and invest in the communities we serve.”
