Staley Technologies has been granted exclusive rights to new market technology in partnership with CIMA and NCR Corporation.
CIMA is the first company in the industry to integrate its customer-facing cash recycler with Counterpoint POS software. Little Rock-headquartered Staley Technologies is the first company in the United States to have access to sell this technology within the Counterpoint retail segment.
“Staley Technologies is excited to bring this new offering to the retail industry,” Staley Technologies CEO Andrew Faulkner said in a statement. “This integration will deliver a long-needed solution and protect our customers’ margins as they operate in this changing environment. We are dedicated to identifying optimal technology solutions to propel our customers to continued success.”
The CIMA technology includes tabletop, standalone and kiosk solutions. The new product is designed to increase efficiency and reduce shrinkage at the point-of-sale. Doubling as a smart safe, the cash recyclers remove the need for employees to handle cash or organize cash drops.
“In collaboration with the teams at Staley and Mainspring, we completed the integration between Counterpoint POS and the CIMA range of INLANE consumer-facing cash recycling solutions,” CIMA North America vice president Vik Devjee said. “Automating the cash payment process at POS requires machines and software to talk, which has never been done before in this way. We look forward to working with our partners to deliver retail solutions that make the cash payment process easier, more accurate and hygienic for staff and consumers.”
