Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders delivered remarks at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the brand-new Special Olympics Arkansas headquarters in North Little Rock. She previously attended the facility’s groundbreaking event on July 10, 2024.
Gov. Sanders allocated $3 million in state funding to help construct the Special Olympics Arkansas facility.
According to the press release, she has also supported Arkansans with disabilities through other initiatives, including Education Freedom Accounts (EFAs), which the LEARNS Act created. In the first year EFAs were available, half of all participating students had a disability.
