Sissy’s Log Cabin, the Mid-South’s largest family-owned jeweler, has broken ground on its future flagship store, marking a major expansion for the Arkansas-born brand.
Slated to open in fall 2026, the new 11,300-square-foot location will be built off North University Avenue, just a short distance from the company’s current Heights storefront on North Grant Street. The store will blend upscale sophistication with nods to the brand’s iconic log cabin heritage.
“This flagship project represents our investment in the city’s future,” said William Jones, president of Sissy’s Log Cabin. “We’re raising the bar for fine jewelry shopping with new brands, new experiences, and a storefront that’s both modern and unmistakably Sissy’s.”
The flagship was designed by Jesse Balaity, the architect behind the jeweler’s Memphis and Fort Smith locations. The new space promises an elevated shopping experience while staying true to the family-focused values that have defined the brand for nearly 55 years.
Founded by Sissy Jones in Pine Bluff in 1970, the company has grown into a regional staple for diamonds, estate jewelry, and fine gifts. The groundbreaking ceremony drew a crowd that included Jones herself, as well as Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr., Lt. Gov. Leslie Rutledge, and representatives from the Little Rock Regional Chamber, RPM Group and Cline Construction.
“Our story began in Arkansas nearly 55 years ago, and every step forward is rooted in the values my mother built this company on: family, trust, and service,” said Bill Jones, CEO of Sissy’s Log Cabin. “This groundbreaking is more than a construction milestone. It’s an exciting new chapter.”
During construction, the company will work closely with the City of Little Rock to improve traffic flow and accessibility in the area. Customers can continue to shop at the current Heights location throughout the transition.
