Erin Simpson has been named executive vice president and chief operations and risk officer for Encore Bank.
Encore Bank president and chief strategy and growth officer Burt Hicks announced Simpson’s promotion on Wednesday, Jan. 6. In this role, Simpson will oversee risk management operations for the bank’s roughly $650 million in assets, evaluating potential vendors, products and services. She is also responsible for ensuring compliance with technological and operational changes.
“Erin joined Encore a little more than a year ago with a reputation as a strategic doer and an incredible teammate. To say she’s lived up to that reputation would be an extreme understatement. Erin’s knowledge, experience and leadership have been instrumental in transforming Encore Bank into a premier banking institution. This promotion is both well-deserved and a natural move for both Encore and Erin. At Encore, we live by the mantra “Building Something Different,” and I look forward to working alongside Erin and the rest of our team to continue doing just that, Hicks said in a statement.
Simpson graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and with an MBA. She is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and a founding member of Bank On Arkansas+.
