Junior Achievement USA is getting a big present for Giving Tuesday.

Simmons Bank will present a $42,000 check to the nonprofit organization, which aims to provide young people with the tools they need to succeed in the global economy. The bank’s donation is being made in honor of Simmons Bank associates who have volunteered on behalf of their local communities.

During September’s “Simmons Service Month,” bank associates logged more than 4,150 hours of volunteer service. At the time, the bank committed to matching the volunteer service with a $10 donation per hour of service – resulting in the $42,000 donation.

Simmons Bank Central Arkansas market president Paul Lowe will present the check to JA Arkansas president Tonya Villines.

The ceremony will be held at Simmons Bank River Market Auditorium in downtown Little Rock on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m.
