Simmons Bank has tapped Itzel Meador to serve as its Small Business Association (SBA) regional manager of sales and business development.
As the regional manager, Meador is charged with overseeing SBA loan production and the bank’s SBA lending processes for an eight-state region.
“Itzel’s passion for serving small business owners is unparalleled and is backed by outstanding experience in the Arkansas market,” Mark Wilson, Simmons Bank director of small business lending, says. “She is a tremendous asset to our customers and team, and her expertise will further solidify Simmons’ position as a top 100 SBA lender in the country.”
Prior to joining Simmons, Meador served as vice president in Regions Bank’s commercial lending group. She has also served as a senior vice president at Arkansas Capital Corporation.
Meador is a member of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, a board member for the Small Business Technology Development Center, and treasurer for the Children’s Protection Center.
She was named the SBA Financial Advocate of the Year in 2006.
