Former White House Press Secretary and Arkansas native Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced on May 14 the launch of the Arkansas 30 Day Fund, a forgivable-loan program for Arkansas small businesses affected by coronavirus.
Similar to the Virginia 30 Day Fund, Arkansas’ program will be made available for businesses that employ anywhere from three to 30 people, are owned and operated by an Arkansan, and have been established for at least a year. The application will consist of simply a copy of the business’ W-9 IRS form, business license and a short video.
In addition, Sanders reported that businesses will not be required to pay these loans back.
Sanders said that the fund will provide entrepreneurs up to $3,000. Applications and a formal announcement will be available on Monday.
