Riverfest is back, and it’s bringing a lineup of nationally known and local artists to downtown Little Rock during Memorial Day weekend.
Young the Giant, Young Thug, Kip Moore, Jamey Johnson, Highly Suspect, LANY, Margo Price, Echosmith, Steel Union and Little Rock native Levelle Davison will play on two main stages from May 25 – 27, Riverfest officials announced Wednesday afternoon. Three more headliners have yet to be announced, and a full lineup is still in the works.
Event Director Jack Daniels said in a press release that at least 50 artists will play each day of Riverfest.
Daniels said in February that this year’s artists would be from country and classic rock genres. Many of the artists that have been announced so far are nationally known rock, rap, country, indie pop and blues musicians. Hometown musician Davison recently appeared on the singing competition The Voice.
The long-running music festival celebrated 40 years in 2017. After the conclusion of Riverfest 2017, officials announced that it would be suspended, but by February 2018 the event was back in action. Earlier this year, Universal Fairs, a production company based in Memphis, announced that it had bought the rights to Riverfest and would bring it back during Memorial Day weekend in 2018.
Oaklawn Gaming will be this year’s presenting sponsor.
Weekend passes and VIP passes are on sale now. Advance passes cost $40 and will be available until April 30. VIP passes start at $150. Single day tickets can be bought at the event. Visit riverfestarkansas.com for more information or to buy tickets.
