Real Agent Guard, a mobile personal security service, announced that it has received $250,000 in funding from XCelerate Capital.
Real Agent’s technology provides mobile apps for real estate agents to enhance their security while working alone or in remote locations. Apps keep teams connected while video monitoring tools allow agents to stay safe during open house events and protect the homeowner’s property. Real Agent Guard provides security for hundreds of real estate agents in the region.
The company plans to expand its customer base and advance technology with the investment. Justyn Hornor, a former Army sergeant, and Tim Brasuell, police officer for 13 years, founded Real Agent Guard in November 2014 after the murder of a central Arkansas real estate agent.
“We built Real Agent Guard to be a powerful yet affordable security solution,” Hornor said. “Outside funding will allow us to keep Real Agent Guard priced well below competition while also delivering a world-class set of services. We will use the funding to expand our IT infrastructure so we can scale the system, as well as launch a national marketing campaign so agents and brokers can be made aware of Real Agent Guard.”
XCelerate’s funding helps the company improve and expand its services.
“XCelerate Capital is a perfect fit not just for the funding—they bring hands-on mentorship and coaching to our founder team to accelerate growth and ensure a successful outcome for all stakeholders,” Brasuell said.
“XCelerate Capital was attracted to Real Agent Guard because of their disruptive approach to solving the real problem of personal security coupled with the clear passion and vision of the founding team,” said Rod Ford, founder and managing partner of XCelerate Capital. “We are thrilled to partner with them to accelerate their core business from real estate agents to a vast array of other markets with no operable personal protection solution.”
