Steven Quattlebaum has been elected to serve as the national vice president for the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He will begin his service in 2021 and will become the national president in 2023.
ABOTA is a national association of trial lawyers and judges that is “dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right…” according to a news release. The organization is invitation-only and counts roughly 7,600 lawyers and judges among its members.
Quattlebaum is a founding member of Quattlebaum, Grooms and Tull PLLC, where he handles complex business, toxic tort and products liability litigation. He has been a member of ABOTA since 1995.
Before being elected to the national vice president role, Quattlebaum served as the national secretary for two terms, an executive committee member for three terms and as a national board representative since 1995.
