Time flies when you’re having fun, it is said. Therefore, 2026 must be a fun publishing year. It seems like we were just crawling out of a February ice/snow storm. We’ll look up, and it will be back to school.
Before we get there, however, we have got lots to share in Arkansas Money & Politics. The May issue is stocked full of USDA-choice material. We’ve got nurses, we’ve got roads and bridges, water and Wi-Fi, chicken dances and NICU babies.
And that’s not all.
We’ve got generational businesses, Dynamic Duos, Tom Cotton and, as seen on the cover, truly one of Arkansas’ best in UAMS’ C. Lowry Barnes, doctor/surgeon/researcher and now chancellor extraordinaire.
We ain’t done yet. This month, we sit down with new Little Rock Trojans coach Travis Ford and take a look at the important new entrepreneurship program at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Teaching the basics never goes out of style.
Our Last Word looks at ADHD, and our Digs of the Deal travels to the glorious old Hotel Pines in downtown Pine Bluff.
As always, thank you for reading. We appreciate your patronage so much. Hit me up with comments or story ideas at hbaker@armoneyandpolitics.com.
