A high point for me was meeting the subject of this month’s cover story. Sitting down with Sarah Sanders, one of Arkansas’ most notable political pundits and daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, was one of the highlights of my career. Sanders proved to be relatable, personable and straight-forward, all the while generously sharing personal stories about her family and love for her home state.
Sanders indicated she plans to invest time, energy and expertise in campaigning to elect candidates in Arkansas and across the country with whom she built a personal relationship. In addition she plans to stump for her former boss, Donald Trump.
The former White House press secretary will no doubt be as influential in our state as she was nationally, and we are proud of this feature.
In this issue, we also celebrate the 100th year of North Little Rock engineering firm Garver with a special section showcasing the employee-owned, multi-disciplined engineering, planning, architectural and environmental services firm. Congratulations on a milestone anniversary.
As evidenced with this issue, Arkansas Money & Politics is growing and quickly becoming Arkansas’ must-read magazine for business, industry and political leaders.
