In a faster and increasingly automated business landscape, there is still room for people and their stories. Telling those stories in an authentic and engaging way has turned PodcastVideos.com into one of Arkansas’ fastest-growing businesses, with a statewide list of satisfied clients.
PodcastVideos.com occupies a space where entrepreneurship and media collide, offering clients up-to-the-minute support and guidance in the art of podcasting, video production and overall brand awareness. This includes a fully-functional on-site recording studio in Rogers stocked with the best equipment available today, all to facilitate multimedia production that grows businesses, promotes organizations and assures individuals of the widest audience possible.
Moreover, PodcastVideos.com leads off with a human touch, and that is not by coincidence. Founder Eric Howerton traces the origin of the company back to a desire to make the path to digital and multimedia relevancy attainable for businesses, educational institutions, professional associations and even singular individuals with a story to tell. Howerton’s drive to fill in the digital blanks is shared by company president Bob Halstead, who has spent his career working in the area of strategic communication and business development.
“The origin is really based upon my frustration with just video production in and of itself,” Howerton said.
Howerton founded PodcastVideos.com in 2022 after taking stock of just how much time and effort can go into a simple promotional podcast or video recording. Even something requiring a casual, conversational approach could spiral into the weeds of pre-production, post-production, formatting and the guessing game over whether the equipment being used is the best for the job at hand. And even once that aspect is taken care of, the art and science of getting as many eyes as possible on the finished product is its own ever-changing jungle.
“It really left myself and anybody I was involved with with kind of a bad taste,” Howerton said. “It was way too long, way overdone and it cost way too much.”
Howerton’s vision was more than just a company that furnishes multimedia resources for businesses looking to tell their stories. Yes, PodcastVideos.com sells video content creation kits for those looking to tell their story, and it also offers top-flight audio equipment for would-be podcasters. But Howerton wanted to do more than simply hawk equipment – and that’s where Meghan Dryzga comes in.
“We talked a lot about the technical side of it, and how heavy that is for organizations,” said Dryzga, who Howerton hired to serve as vice president of strategic growth. “But I think there’s another side to it that’s really powerful, and that’s the human side.”
Dryzga does not say that lightly. She joined PodcastVideos.com after over 20 years working in digital marketing, the last six of those with Arkansas shipping and logistics giant J.B. Hunt. Like many in the multimedia marketing space, Dryzga is proficient with artificial intelligence and its use as a tool for strategic growth and development. Yet, conversely, she actively advocates for the human element in an increasingly AI-driven world.
“That’s where the marketing background comes in,” said Dryzga. “What makes our format powerful is the authenticity of the content. We’re a couple of years into AI blowing up, and already audiences are swiping past things that feel contrived.”
That gentle pushback is why clients get more than equipment and a studio – they get a guide. How does a podcast or video create an audience? How does a podcast or video keep an audience? Getting people in the tent is one thing; keeping them inside is quite another. That’s why PodcastVideos.com works with clients to craft engaging and authentic content. The focus is not on “going viral,” but on creating consistent, quality messages that resonate with audiences long after the “newness” wears off.
“There has to be a human connection,” Dryzga said. “Customers and audiences are looking for a long-term connection, long-term trust. They’re making bigger decisions than just a ‘like’ or a view. That authenticity becomes more important than ever, because it creates long-term trust.”
