Simmons Bank has promoted Paula Appleget to director of physical security. She will oversee operations of the bank’s security equipment and staff while creating and maintaining policies to ensure physical safety of assets owned across Simmons’ six-state footprint.
“Paula has a proven track record for problem-solving, improving security and training associates to achieve top performance. These qualities combined with her ability to lead and motivate a team make her a natural fit to lead the Physical Security team,” said Steve Massanelli, senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Simmons First National Corporation.
During her 15 years at Simmons, Appleget has served in a variety of capacities including providing support to the bank’s retail and information technology teams. Over the last four years, Appleget has led several advances in technology and equipment in physical security. Her efforts have created process improvements including training and education for enhanced physical security measures across the enterprise, bank officials said.
Appleget is an alumnus of the University of Arkansas—Pulaski Technical College, and has certifications in security operations, web application security and organizational data security.
