Haley Heath, an attorney with Fuqua Campbell, PA, recently became a partner for the firm.
A Wynne native, Heath attended the University of Central Arkansas for undergraduate studies and went to law school at the University of Arkansas. Heath had three years of legal experience prior to joining Fuqua Campbell. In her first year out of law school, Heath clerked with the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
“It was a really good way to learn from judges and see how everything works,” Heath said.
Clerkships with the federal courts are extremely competitive, and the experience prepared Heath for her career in trial practice. She practiced for two years with Rose Law Firm before joining Fuqua Campbell as an associate. Heath specializes in both intellectual property law and family law. When she is practicing intellectual property law, Heath works to protect ideas and help inventors with their businesses and startups. Specializing in family law is more personal for Heath, and she is dedicated to helping people in times of hardship.
“I personally got divorced and I realized there was a need,” Heath said. “I wanted to help people through a really tough time in their lives.”
Heath has now worked for Fuqua Campbell for six years and officially became a partner on Oct. 2. The announcement signals her experience and commitment to the firm, as well as her expertise at working with clients. Heath describes the firm as a family, and becoming a partner has personal significance as well.
“It’s a really big accomplishment. When I started at the firm, I was five months pregnant with my oldest child, and now she’s almost six and I have another daughter, too” said Heath. “It was really difficult raising tiny babies and working at the same time, so becoming a partner is amazing.”
Heath has been successful in both the courtroom and in motherhood, and she will continue to balance raising her daughters and being a partner at Fuqua Campbell.
